GOLD MEDAL • 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

2012 Atwood Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
BRONZE MEDAL • 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Atwood Ranch, our hand-selected vineyard in Glen Ellen’s historic Valley of the Moon, is the perfect site for cultivating excellent, fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The now “boutique” estate is the site of one of the first bonded wineries in California’s renowned Sonoma Valley wine country. We have been lucky enough to acquire this terroir-driven fruit, steeped in Sonoma history and tradition, for the past few years. We continually win awards on this Reserve Cab and are very proud to be able to offer it to our customers again this year.

Note that the small, specially selected addition of Malbec and Cabernet Franc add subtle layers of complexity to this year’s vintage. The wine is aged for 24 months in new and neutral French oak barrels to ensure complete integration of varietals and tannins. The hand-crafted end result is an extraordinarily well-rounded, balanced, limited production wine capable of laying down for many years (if you can wait!). Producing small lots of extremely high end wine is possible because we are a small, quality driven family winery. You will not find these nuances with larger wineries.

Drink this reserve cabernet and enjoy aromas of dark, ripe blackberry and plum, dried tobacco, cumin, and currants, with a soft, lush entry leading to a juicy, concentrated palate of dense, resolved tannins with hints of vanilla and spice. Savor the pleasantly lingering finish and full mouthfeel which leaves you thirsting for another sip. We only produced 78 cases of this 2012 reserve vintage so be sure not to miss out.

2011 Atwood Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
BRONZE MEDAL • 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Our Sonoma Valley Reserve Cabernet is the best of the best!

First, enjoy the intensely inky dark color along with the wine’s aromatic fruity profile. This Olde Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon displays brooding, dark, black fruit at first sight and smell, which then escapes and is followed by notes of spicy cinnamon and toasty oak fragrance. Then, on the palate, this cab showcases it’s firm, dense tannin profile, balanced perfectly by equal parts lush ripe fruit flavors and essential acidity. This wine will take your breath away. Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon blend is built to age for 5-10 years…if you can wait that long…!
